He co-authored the best-selling book The Self-Driven Child and the critically acclaimed What Do You Say? Talking with Kids to Build Motivation, Stress Tolerance, and a Happy Home. His work has been featured in major media outlets like NPR, CNN, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Dr. Stixrud is also a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and plays in the rock band Close Enough.
