This holiday season, I’m stepping up for my wife and kids.
I’m stepping up my intentions, my planning, and my actions for the next 6 weeks to make this the best holiday season the vromans have ever had.
For years I’ve had a lot of excuses for my lackluster approach to holidays.
Yeah, like most guys, I’m slammed with work.
In years past, I’ve focused so much energy into closing out the year strong, and hosting our annual celebration for Front Row Foundation.
Two days ago, I sat down with my laptop, a cup of tea, and was about to dive into my annual 2018 review and 2019 planning session.
Then it hit me.
Change of plans. I’m going to spend the next 3-4 hours totally focused on the next 6 weeks.
I’m going to plan out every day, every detail, every party. Everything.
I’m going to research, visualize, strategize, plan, coordinate, create and design.
I’m going to plan out the best holiday season ever!
The light shows, the nutcracker, the shopping days, the wrapping days, movies, games, cooking – EVERYTHING!
I’ve never done this. I’ve never given this much time to carefully and thoughtfully map out my life with the family, and, I’m certain it shows 🙂
How can I be focused on making “front row” moments all year long for so many others, and drop the ball at home?
I’m often so consumed with closing out the year strong for my business and charity, that when I hear silent night, I’m ready to crash.
As I type this today, after hours of thinking, planning, and coordinating the most epic 2018 holiday season for the Vroman family….
I feel confident.
I feel excited.
I feel clear.
I know my energy is going to positively impact my family. My enthusiasm will catch fire.
Our calendar is filled (not over filled) with awesomness. It’s time to rock. I feel relieved that I have a plan, for once!
I’ll share more details in the Front Row Dads facebook group, and would love to hear about your rituals, traditions, etc.
